Linz_Open Data Hackathon, 3. Februar 2012, Linz
Du hast eine Idee für ein Open-Data-Projekt, das du schon lang realisieren willst? Du hast mit einer App oder Visualisierung begonnen und suchst Mitstreiter zur Perfektionierung? Du willst gemeinsam mit anderen Gleichgesinnten unordentliche Daten verfeinern oder Open-Data-Kommunikationsstrategien entwickeln?
Gemeinsam hackt's und hackelt's sich leichter, deshalb veranstaltet die Open Commons Region Linz am 3. Februar von 14:00 bis 18:00 Uhr den ersten Open Data Hackathon. Dabei können alle Interessierten planen, programmieren, visualisieren und sich austauschen. Der erste Hackathon in Linz findet am Tag vor dem Barcamp Linz statt. Und natürlich ist auch für Verpflegung gesorgt.

We want you!
Citizens We need you the most. If it weren’t for you, this whole thing wouldn’t be happening. We need ideas, cheerleaders, and friends to spread the word.
Developers We need computer cowboys (and cowgirls) like yourself to wrangle data into something useful. That means visualization, notification, integration, etc., all in the name of doing something crazy and fantastic.
Statisticians YES! YOU ARE SO NEEDED. Seriously. While we can find it, blow it up, calculate it, and make it look pretty, we needs us some mean number crunchin’ to present meaningful visualizations. Join up.
Librarians I heard you folks like books and eat catalogs of data for breakfast. You beautiful people are going to scout the earth for interesting data, help the rest of us figure out what’s important, and generally be useful.
Designers If you help out to make something snazzy, I will award you with a copy of Photoshop that will never crash.* We need people like you to make the rest of our work look amazing, feel intuitive, and have a smooth user experience. You know the drill.

- Du arbeitest allein oder gemeinsam an deinem/eurem Projekt: einer App, einer Visualisierung, an Datenverfeinerung, Ideen, Kommunikationsstrategien, …
- Um 18:00 Uhr: Resümee zum Tag
- Zwischendrin: Verpflegung, Getränke

Gadgets! Bring your laptops, mobile phones, etc. We’re trying to make this event very hands on, so feel free to bring all your wacky geektronics so that you can participate in all the fun. Don't worry if you don’t bring anything since there will still be tons of stuff to do.
